Kids Protectors of the Environment

KPE founder and executive director Gwen Foladare-Weisman works with the Los Angeles Unified School District after-school programs (including YSCare and the 21st Century Cohort). She was formerly principal of the Kirk O The Valley School for twenty years. Gwen held the top administrative post at Lindley Oaks Elementary School, and served as California regional director for Children’s World, an after school enrichment program which operated at schools throughout the country. She is the author of the Early Explorations interactive readiness and literacy program commissioned by Times Mirror.

Phyllis Kahn, a credentialed teacher and former principal is an active consultant in KPE planning and organization.

Angeline King, a middle school instructor with in specialty in science and environmental studies, is a vital part of the KPE organization .

Janice M, Mackay , M.A.CFRE, Child Development Specialist and Community Organizer, serves as consultant to the Kids Protectors of the Environment (KPE) programs.
